Your Role in Our Journey
As the Manager of Financial Services, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional financial solutions and client experiences. Reporting to the Head of Client Services, you will lead teams responsible for financial operations, strategic financial planning, and client portfolio management. Your expertise will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial processes while fostering strong client relationships. By driving innovation in financial services and guiding your team toward excellence, you’ll help shape Redstone’s reputation for trust, transparency, and impact. Your Role in Action:
Oversight & Quality Control
Review work accuracy: Ensure all bookkeeping entries, reconciliations, and reports are correct and compliant with accounting standards.
Spot-check client files: Regularly audit a sample of client accounts to maintain consistency.
Monthly client reviews: Review and approve monthly financial statements before sent to clients.
Implement controls: Establish procedures to reduce errors and prevent fraud.
Support & guidance: Act as the go-to person for resolving technical or client-related issues.
Point of escalation: Handle client concerns that bookkeepers cannot resolve.
Team Management
Workload distribution: Support the assigning of clients fairly across bookkeepers, balancing complexity and volume.
Performance monitoring: Track productivity, deadlines, and quality of work for each team member.
Training & development: Provide ongoing education on accounting software, tax rules, and best practices.
Support & guidance: Act as the go-to person for resolving technical or client-related issues.
Client Relationship Management
Point of escalation: Handle client concerns that staff accountants cannot resolve.
Maintain service standards: Ensure timely delivery of reports, reconciliations, and filings.
Client onboarding: Oversee setup of new accounts and ensure smooth transitions.
Process & Systems Improvement
Standardize workflows: Create templates, checklists, and procedures to streamline bookkeeping tasks.
Software optimization: Ensure the team uses accounting tools (QuickBooks, float, etc.) efficiently.
Reporting improvements: Develop dashboards or summaries for internal and client use.
Continuous improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement process enhancements.
Strategic & Administrative Duties
Budget oversight: Monitor costs related to bookkeeping operations.
Compliance management: Ensure adherence to tax laws, payroll regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Collaboration with leadership: Report team performance and client satisfaction to senior management.
You’ll Thrive in this Role if:
Strong financial planning capabilities, adhere to strict deadlines, and can work under pressure.
Feel confident presenting clear and accurate financial information to multiple board of directors and committees, answering questions when they arise.
Lead, mentor and motivate your team to achieve performance targets, foster collaboration, and maintain high engagement.
Serious Bonus Points if:
You have your CPA designation or are a CPA candidate.
You have experience working with professional or trade associations, member-based organizations, or the not-for-profit sector
You have prior experience with association management companies or marketing agencies
Proficiencies in other bookkeeping software.
Compensation Expectations for the Role:
We believe in fair, transparent, and growth-focused compensation. Our salary bands are designed to ensure equity across roles (and internally), with most new hires starting at the lower end to allow room for development and progression. That said, we recognize and reward experience – strong, seasoned candidates may start higher within the band.
Starting Salary: $90,000 - $109,800
