Your Role in Our Journey
As our Head of Client Services, you’ll play a key role in leading our client services and marketing function. You’ll be responsible for providing strategic direction, fostering client & team relationships, and ensuring operational excellence—helping to achieve our goal of being the BEST and biggest AMC. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), your work will directly impact our clients and teams, delivering exceptional service and maximizing client satisfaction. Your Role in Action:
Leadership and People Management
- Helps develop and execute the vision for the Client Services department, aligning with company strategy;
- Leads and engages the Client Services team, overseeing performance management, training, and development of Team Leads;
- Actively participates in strategic planning and monthly leadership meetings, contributing to collaboration and innovation;
- Works closely with HR to address performance, accommodations, and other complex people matters;
- Oversees the full employee lifecycle within the department, from onboarding to performance management, ensuring staff engagement and development; and
- Monitors staffing and client hours to optimize efficiency and resource allocation.
Client Oversight & Relationships
- Proactively flags risks and issues and develops and implements mitigation plans;
- Builds trust-based relationships with all clients and maintains active communication with key client stakeholders (both formal and informal);
- Understands and has a solid grasp on the current state of all client work, issues, satisfaction, and progress;
- Accountable for success of all client work, projects, and scope delivery, working with the Team Lead to ensure client satisfaction; and
- Identifies and reports on at-risk-clients, developing and overseeing strategic action plans and strategies for retention.
Financial Stewardship
- Works closely with the Business Development team to provide expertise on the quoting/bidding of new clients and work;
- Oversees department profitability, monitors P&L, and manages department budget;
- Serves in the best interest of Redstone, protecting all intellectual, financial property;
- Reviews, approves, and audits all contracts to ensure that profitability targets are met; and
- Authorizes and signs off on Redstone funded travel, expenses etc.
You’ll Thrive in this Role if:
- You have 8+ years of experience leading, directing, and coaching high performing teams that operate in client facing administrative or agency roles;
- You have experience working with non-profits, association management companies, agencies, and/or marketing; and
- You have a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Business, Communications, Event Management, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
Serious Bonus Points if:
- You have experience overseeing a team managing a large number of clients; and/or
- You have experience as an Executive Director role; and/or
- You have served on a non-profit Board of Directors; and/or
- You are bilingual in English / French.
Compensation Expectations for the Role:
We believe in fair, transparent, and growth-focused compensation. Our salary bands are designed to ensure equity across roles (and internally), with most new hires starting at the lower end to allow room for development and progression. That said, we recognize and reward experience—strong, seasoned candidates may start higher within the band.
🤑 $130,000 - $156,000 base salary based on experience.
